Sydney captain Josh Kennedy headlined a host of Swans who paid a visit to an East Sydney Bulldogs training session on Monday night.

The Bulldogs are a junior Australian rules football club based in Paddington and Swans stars Jarrad McVeigh, Callum Sinclair and Jack Maibaum all joined Kennedy for the session at Trumper Oval.

The four Swans ran the kids through a range of training drills and fun activities and the youngsters received big tips from their idols on a variety of topics, from handballing and kicking to nutrition and match-day preparation.

Bulldogs Auskick coordinator Lisa Goold said the visit meant a lot to the budding footballers.

“They have been talking about it for weeks,” Goold said.

“I had my son actually sleep with a photo of Buddy in his bed – that’s how excited they were to see the Swans tonight.

“They were super-excited to see Jarrad McVeigh and Josh Kennedy but seeing all the players was great. Four of them coming down is just wild.”
