The Sydney Swans have made one change to the side to face Melbourne at Cazaly’s Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Small forward Lewis Taylor comes into the side for his seventh match of the season.

Taylor will replace James Bell who has been omitted from the side.

Coach John Longmire said Taylor would provide important depth through the midfield against Melbourne.

"Lewis Taylor comes in again after missing a game a few weeks ago with a sore foot," Longmire said.

"He has played down in our scrimmage games and done really well the last couple of weeks.

"He helps us through the midfield and going forward in helping move the ball on and that is an area that we need to improve upon so he comes back into the team to play that role."

The match kicks off at 4.40pm on Thursday afternoon in the first match for the team during their stint in a hub in Cairns.
