Sydney Swans members have rallied behind the club this season, showing their passion for the red and white through a year that has challenged the club and the code more than any other.

The Swans are pleased to announce a final membership number of 48,322 for season 2020 – these members will forever be part of Bloods 2020.

While the overall number is down on previous years, it represents 98 per cent of members choosing to keep some or all of their membership contribution with the club since the season was disrupted by COVID 19 pandemic in March.

Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley said it’s a terrific result in the circumstances.

“Our football club will be forever grateful to the members who have been able to stand with us this season, in what has been an incredibly difficult year for the entire community,” Harley said.

“To the members who have been able to support the club through 2020 – everyone at our club thanks you. You’ve shown your passion and commitment through the most challenging of times and we will continue to find ways to give back to you.

“We also know many of our members would have loved to support the club this year but were prevented from doing so through their own personal circumstances. To those in our Swans family who are doing it tough, we are thinking of you, and look forward to welcoming you back as members in the future.

“Everyone at our club is incredibly excited about what the future holds. We’re building something special – the next chapter of the Bloods – and we know our members will be there with us through every step of the journey.”

Round 17 of the home-and-away season marks Member Thank You Round, when the Swans will take on Brisbane at Cazaly’s Stadium.

Bloods 2020 members should keep an eye on their inbox, as the club has a few surprises in store to say thank you.
