To kick off the brand new monthly competition, vote for your Furphy Unbelievable Moment of the Month below, complete the entry form and go in to the chance to win.
The four moments are:
- Third consecutive Rising Star nomination: The Sydney Swans kicked off their 2021 season in history breaking fashion. For the first time in the 28-year history of the NAB AFL Rising Star Award, one club has received three nominations in a row during the home-and-away season after Sydney Swans midfielder Chad Warner was voted the Round Three NAB AFL Rising Star Nominee. Warner joined teammates Errol Gulden and Braeden Campbell who were the nominees from the opening fortnight.
- Sydney Derby crowd: A total crowd of 33,541 were on hand to witness a thrilling Derby in which Swans spearhead Lance Franklin booted five goals. At the time, the 33,541 crowd at Sydney Derby XX represented the Swans biggest home crowd for 2021, and the biggest sporting crowd for the year in Sydney, across any code.
- Tom Harley takes career to new heights: Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley was part of a team of CEOs who Skydived to support the Black Dog Institute to fund life-saving mental health research and education. Tom has raised over $14,000 so far for the Black Dog Institute.
- Franklin kicks his 950th goal: Forward Lance Franklin was screaming for the ball all night against Essendon and he finally got his opportunity to make his mark with a crucial goal in the last quarter to notch his 950th career goal and secure a Swans victory.
