Sydney Swans Sam Reid, Braeden Campbell and Lewis Melican are closer to returning to the action following positive progress with their recovery.

The Swans had a physical encounter in their 92-point win over West Coast with Tom Papley, Jake Lloyd and Justin McInerney sustaining significant knocks however pulled through the game okay and will be available for selection this week.

Sam Reid continues to progress strongly from his calf injury that has seen the forward sidelined since Round 7. He has turned the corner over the past fortnight, returning to training with the squad in hopes to be available for selection.

Braeden Campbell progresses strongly in training without shin pain and is training with the group, getting up to 8-9km in sessions in hopes of returning next week.

Following an achilles flare up in the midst of his hamstring rehab, defender Lewis Melican has made strong progress in the past week and has been sprinting and training with the group in hopes of returning over the next few weeks.
