Joel Amartey has shown strong form as a key-position player at both ends of the ground since being drafted to the Sydney Swans as a rookie ahead of the 2018 season. Despite battling injury, 2023 was a standout season for the Ghanaian-Australian who kicked 20 goals from his 15 appearances for the Swans. Most notably booting four majors in Round 20 against Essendon to secure a clutch two-point win. The 24-year-old will be looking to build ahead of his sixth season as an important key forward for the young side.
