The Sydney Swans secured two-time Coleman Medallist Charlie Curnow from Carlton on the final day of the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period. Curnow joined Sydney in exchange for Will Hayward, Sydney’s first round draft pick in 2025, Sydney’s first round draft pick in 2026 and Sydney’s first round draft pick in 2027. In return, the Swans received Curnow and picks 31 and 42 in this year's draft, and Carlton’s second round pick in 2027. Since being drafted to Carlton in 2015, Curnow has played 149 games and kicked 313 goals for the Blues, cementing himself as one of the competition’s most dominant forwards.
