Picked up with pick number six in the 2025 AFLW Draft, Alex Neyland joins the growing list of QBE Sydney Swans Academy players to be selected for the AFLW side. A two-time recipient of the Basil Sellers Scholarship, Neyland is an all-round threat. Representing the QBE Sydney Swans Academy in the Coates Talent League Girls competition, she averaged 19 disposals, four marks, 6.5 tackles, four inside 50s and booted three goals across four games. She has also represented the Allies at the National Championships. However, the 18-year-old is set to miss the entirety of the 2026 season after she sustained an ACL injury at pre-season training.
