Hailing from Victoria, Sofia Hurley joined the Swans with the club’s second selection in the 2022 AFLW draft at pick five overall. Hurley played in Vic Metro’s 2022 championship and was also a member of the AFLW U18 National Academy. She enjoyed a particularly strong 2023 season being named an AFLW Rising Star nominee in Round 8. She also took out the Sydney Swans AFLW Rising Star award at Club Champion at the end of the season. She will be one to watch in 2024.
