The Sydney Swans one-four year players returned to Moore Park for day one of preseason training on Monday with young guns Tom McCartin, Dylan Stephens, Errol Gulden, Marc Sheather and Ollie Florent impressing on the opening day of the 2022 campaign.

Players were put through their paces with a 2km time trial to start their field session before group football skills and drills and further conditioning rounded out their return to the field.

Six players ran personal best times with Braeden Campbell, James Rowbottom, Sam Wicks, Florent, Gulden and Sheather impressing.

Based on previous time trial results, Marc Sheather, Sam Wicks, Ollie Florent and James Rowbottom were the biggest improvers in the players to return today.
