Exciting midfielder Lewis Jetta will make his return to the senior side after being named in the Swans final 22, to take on Melbourne this Sunday at the MCG.

Jetta is the only inclusion into the team that defeated Carlton last weekend and replaces defender Nick Smith, who is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Coach Paul Roos confirmed Jetta would return for his first senior match since the Swans clashed with Collingwood in Round 13.

“Nick Smith has been playing a little bit in defense and through the midfield, so we probably need another body in that area.”

“Lewis was playing ok at senior level and then went back to the reserves for a mental and physical break and played really well,” Roos said.

“This time of year you have to be mindful of those younger guys, because their form can tend to fluctuate fairly dramatically because of the fact it’s a longer year, but Lewis has obviously played senior WAFL footy, so I’m confident he’ll be ready to go,” he said.
