Stephen Coniglio and Callum Mills holding the Lifeline Cup in 2022.

When the Sydney Swans and GWS take to the field for this weekend’s Sydney Derby there will be more than the four points on the line, with the teams to contest The Lifeline Cup.

The Lifeline Cup is symbolic of Lifeline’s mission to ensure that no Australian has to face their darkest moments alone. It is proudly supported by the Sydney Swans and the GWS Giants.

Together, we believe in the transformative power of sport to support our wellbeing. This special match is all about raising awareness, raising funds and, of course, raising the Cup in support of mental health.

Lifeline has never been more needed by Australians. The organisation has experienced a 44 per cent growth in service demand since the beginning of the pandemic.

If you’d like to support the important work Lifeline does in the community, you can donate to Lifeline today at fundraise.lifeline.org.au/lifelinecup

Every donation counts – $19 can fund one potentially lifesaving text conversation and $39 can help keep the phones running to ensure that no one needs to face their darkest moments alone.

Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via phone on 13 11 14, text and online chat, to listen without judgement to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or who longs to be heard.

Asking for help is one of the bravest things people can do, while everyone can play a role by making seeking help the norm.
