Sydney Swans forward Sam Wicks has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of 2025.
The QBE Sydney Swans Academy product made his debut in Round 10 of the 2020 season and has overcome some injury setbacks to develop into an important role player across the front of half of the ground.
Known for his pressure acts, the lively forward kicked 10 goals across his 11 games in 2023, whilst also notching his 50th game milestone in the Club’s elimination final against Carlton.
Sydney Swans Executive GM, Football, Charlie Gardiner said the Club is thrilled to have Wicks sign on.
“Sam is an exciting player who has developed into a valuable performer at AFL level,” said Gardiner.
"He has built his game around his defensive work rate and pressure, and we really value what he is able to do for the team in this area of the game.
“We think Sam still has a lot of improvement in him and we look forward to seeing him take his game to a new level over the next couple of seasons.”
