The Sydney Swans congratulate Don Pyke on his appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer of the West Coast Eagles.

Pyke joined Sydney ahead of the 2021 season as a senior assistant to John Longmire, bringing with him a wealth of experience across coaching and strategy.

In his time at the Swans the club has made the finals each year, including the 2022 Grand Final.

Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley has thanked Don for his service to the club.

“Don has played an important role in our football department for the past three seasons, through both his contribution to our on-field strategy and to the culture of the club more broadly,” Harley said.

“While his football credentials are first class, it’s Don’s work ethic and passion for the community which has made him such a terrific fit with our club.

“On behalf of everyone at the Sydney Swans I would like to thank Don for his contribution and wish him and his wife Jodie all the very best for their transition back to Western Australia.”

Don Pyke said he is grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the red and white family.

“I would like to thank Andrew Pridham, Tom Harley, Charlie Gardiner, and John Longmire for the opportunity to join the club back in 2021 – I have absolutely loved my time working within the Swans,” Pyke said.

“The club has a wonderful playing and coaching group, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for them. I’ll be watching with interest and love from the west.”
