AFLW senior coach Scott Gowans has confirmed one change for Round 10, with Eliza Vale named to play her first game of the season.

Vale features in place of Paris McCarthy who has been ruled out with injury.

The team travel to Perth this week with plenty of confidence after an impressive win over the Magpies last Sunday. The 19-point victory saw the team move into eighth position on the ladder and in contention for a maiden finals appearance.

The team will require a third consecutive win to cement a spot in the 2023 finals.

Ahead of the trip west, Gowans said his side is embracing the pressure as they eye a piece of club history.

"We spoke about pressure privilege at the team meeting yesterday, and how we can adapt to it or shy away from it," Gowans said in a press conference on Wednesday. 

"We decided that we are going to take it as a badge of honour."

Speaking to Swans TV ahead of final team selection on Friday, Gowans added that the team will also need to remain composed.

“Our ball movement and the way we were able to set up the field was quite good," the senior coach said of Round 9. 

"It’s a natural progression for the team to want to take the game on all the time but there are times where we need to show a little bit more composure with the ball in hand."

The red and white have had an impressive second year in the competition so far, winning five of their last nine outings including a historic first win at North Sydney Oval in Round 1 against the Giants
