Sydney Swans young gun Isaac Heeney has received the full praise from the coaches in Saturday's win over Carlton at Marvel Stadium.

Heeney was awarded the full ten votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year award after his 26 disposals, eight marks and four goals.

It was a dominant performance from the high flying star who received the full allocation of votes from John Longmire and Brendan Bolton.

"He had the mix absolutely what we like, which is the mix of midfield-forward and taking marks either end, going forward and putting pressure on," Longmire said post match.

"His ability and courage overhead is outstanding."

Carlton midfielder Patrick Cripss was rated as next best on ground with eight votes followed closely by Zak Jones who was awarded six votes.

Jones added important run to the Swans on ball brigade finishing the match with 31 disposals.

Liam Jones (2 votes), Ed Curnow (2 votes), Jarrad McVeigh (1 vote) and Callum Mills (1 vote) rounded out the vote getters in Saturday afternoon's contest.
