The Sydney Swans midfield have been praised for their versatile performance on Saturday afternoon after a Round 4 win against the West Coast Eagles. Issac Heeney and Errol Gulden were in particularly fine form and earned nine coaches votes each for their efforts. 

Heeney has earned votes for a fifth week in-a-row after enjoying some of his strongest appearances to date. Despite the team's slow start in the opening half the 27-year-old was instrumental in keeping the ball with Sydney. 

The QBE Sydney Swans Academy product finished the match with 17 contested possessions and landed six tackles. Not to mention kicking two crucial goals. 

Gulden was also an important influence across the ground and especially in the forward 50. He featured in 12 score involvements and two goals, finishing the match with 25 disposals. 

Ahead of the bye Heeney remains first on the leaderboard with a massive 41 votes, meanwhile Gulden has climbed the ladder to sit in eighth position.
