The Sydney Swans have made three changes for their Saturday night clash with Adelaide at the SCG.
Captain Callum Mills comes out of the side through suspension, Sam Wicks will miss the match after it was confirmed that he would miss 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury, while Ollie Florent has been omitted.
Defender Lewis Melican has been named in the back pocket after missing the past three games through suspension, while Justin McInerney will also return after serving a one-match suspension, and play his 100th AFL game.
Defender Caleb Mitchell will make his first appearance in the senior side this year after recording 32 disposals in the VFL against Coburg over the weekend.
Senior Coach Dean Cox said Mitchell had performed strongly over several weeks and had earned his opportunity.
"He's had three really solid weeks, he was concussed for one of those during the month, but outside of that, he's performed really well," Cox said.
"He's moved to halfback and given some real drive off there, so looking forward to seeing what he can do in the AFL team."
Riley Bice, Caleb Mitchell, Angus Sheldrick, Caiden Cleary and Peter Ladhams have been named on the interchange bench, with the Swans to confirm their substitute one hour before the first bounce.
After a disappointing loss on the road last week, Sydney will be looking to get back on the winners' list on Saturday.
Cox said the team had trained hard during the week and was looking to bounce back infront of a home crowd.
"We got back to the basics, we've trained hard," Cox said.
"Our effort around the contest was probably the biggest difference between both teams, you know, they were fierce, they were hungry and we need to do that against a quality outfit in Adelaide on Saturday night."
Adelaide comes into the match following a 66-point win over the West Coast Eagles, and Cox said the team was well aware of the challenge it would present.
"You know, they're strong across all areas of the ground, obviously through the middle of the ground, they're getting some real ascendancy," Cox said.
"Ahead of the ball, they've got some really dangerous players, whether they're tall or the smalls at ground level, so yeah, the three-pronged attack.
"But the first part comes about trying to make amends for what Melbourne did to us last week."
