In this week's edition of Tanya's Take, presented by Bird in Hand, assistant coach Tanya Hetherington shares her thoughts on her midfield cohort, Amelia Martin's debut game and what it will take to get the win over Geelong on Saturday.

A great team win over the Suns on Saturday, what the most pleasing part of the game from your perspective?
It was just such a good team performance where everyone played their role. The ability of the group to play a consistent brand of footy across 4 quarters was pleasing.

Amelia Martin kicked a goal in her debut game, how proud are you to have watched her journey through the QBE Sydney Swans Academy?
I’m so proud to have seen Amelia come through our Academy pathway and live out her childhood dreams on the weekend. She has always taken charge of her own career and is very driven so it is no surprise to see her doing so well at this level.

Zippy Fish was named Rising Star for her performance, what have you made of her start to her career, and where do you think she can take her game?

Zippy is an exceptional talent. She is so clean on the ground and can also get you in the air with her vertical jump, not to mention her elite skills. Best of all, she does it all with an infectious smile!

Laura Gardiner and Montana Ham both had great performances on the weekend. What do they bring to your midfield group?

Laura’s workrate and ability to get from contest to contest is first class and Mon is a contested beast so it’s been great to see them show their strengths in this midfield group and get some reward for effort with their performances on the weekend.

Heading away against the Cats at Geelong this weekend, what are you expecting from the game and what will be the key to getting the win?

The Cats are a very good side and we will be expecting their best. They have played some great footy in their 2 games so far, so we will have to be prepared to play 4 quarters of hard and tough footy to get the job done.

Brenna Tarrant will play her 50th game on Saturday, what contribution has she made to the team?

BT has been a defensive stalwart for our side with her ability to win 1 on 1 contests but also reads the ball so well and intercepts. She has really stood up for us in big moments, and I’m looking forward to celebrating her on her milestone this weekend.
