Indigenous Round
This week, the Sydney Swans AFLW side will wear the club’s Marn Grook guernsey in the AFLW’s annual Indigenous Round - recognising and celebrating indigenous players, culture and their contribution to the game.
This year marks the sixth occasion the League will hold a dedicated round, with this season's theme of 'Past Legacies, Future Legends' celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have paved the way for women's football in the past, and those who will continue to build on their legacies in the future.
The Sydney Swans Marn Grook guernsey debuted earlier this year, when the Sydney Swans AFL side hosted Carlton in Marn Grook at the SCG.
Pre-Game Welcome to Country
Ahead of first bounce a Welcome to Country ceremony will take place, commemorating Indigenous Round. Turn your attention to the field and big screens to witness it.
