Sydney Swans AFLW stars Zippy Fish, Jas Grierson and Chloe Molloy will run out in specially designed boots this weekend as part of the club's Marn Grook celebrations.
Fish's aunty Ree Couzens, a Nhanda-Wajarri (Yamatji) artist from Carnarvon, WA, has painted the boots to reflect each player's own journey.
"On each boot I have used circles, dots and lines to represent "country"," Couzens explained.
"I have also done this on the front of the boot - this is the style that Yamatji's use when creating landscapes/waterways.
"I have drawn the Aboriginal Flag and used the flag colours across the boots in celebration of our culture."
Below is a breakdown of each of the boots the players will wear on Sunday.
Zippy's boots
"The Nike Tick is specific to Zip's journey and growth with moving over to Sydney from Perth. Above the tick I have used the symbol for "woman" and across the boot the symbol for "star" (obviously as Zippy is our little star!). I have also included a swan footprint to represent the club, inclusive of Zip's 23 number."
Chloe's boots
"Within the Nike tick is to represent Chloe's journey and growth throughout her football career. I have also used the symbol for "star" across the boot as Chloe is co-captain this year and the girls look to her for inspiration and leadership, also included is Chloe's number 5."
Jas' boots
"I have used a swan footprint to represent Jas's time at the club. I have also used the symbol for a woman and have included her number 11."
