In the bustling heart of the Sellers & Colless Centre, Sydney Swans HQ, a remarkable partnership has been quietly transforming lives and nourishing the community. Plate It Forward, our dedicated caterers founded by Shaun Christie-David, have been cooking up delicious meals that are making an incredible impact in the community.

From match day BBQs to boardroom lunches, club events, athlete meals, corporate clients, HQ activations, and even spontaneous staff cookies and treats, Plate It Forward has consistently delivered thoughtful, high-quality catering with heart. Their dedication has not only satisfied our taste buds but also fuelled our spirits.

Over the past financial year, more than 30,000 meals were enjoyed at the Sydney Swans HQ kitchen, including 10,485 staff and player meals and over 6,100 on match days.

Community Impact

The success of HQ catering has enabled Plate It Forward to donate 10,000 meals to our local community, providing nutritious meals to those facing food insecurity and disadvantage, including those:

  • Experiencing homelessness or addiction
  • From refugee or migrant backgrounds
  • From low-income families
  • Living with disability or mental illness

Training & Growth

Plate It Forward's commitment to growth and development is evident in the 10,085 hours of training delivered to staff at Sydney Swans HQ, marking a more than 50% increase year-on-year.

One team member completed kitchen training and now works in the new Kolkata Social kitchen under Head Chef Ahana Dutt. Another team member, who started with little English or hospitality experience, has been promoted to run events and train front-of-house staff. As a club, we believe that every dollar we spend can go further, and Plate It Forward is a powerful example of that.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Shaun, John, Deb, Raph, Jacques, Oksana, Tony, and their entire crew who have become an invaluable part of our Sydney Swans family.
