Sydney Swans senior coach Scott Gowans has made three changes ahead of his side's Pride clash with Carlton at Henson Park on Sunday.

Midfielder Darcy Moloney has been named, after she was omitted from the side that lost to the Kangaroos last weekend.

Ruby Sargent-Wilson will return from a calf injury, while Ash Van Loon has been named for the first time since Round 6.

"Darcy brings a bit of experience into the side, we're really looking forward to just having that football nous back in our forward line and up through the midfield," Gowans said.

"Ruby Sargent-Wilson, a bit of speed on the wing and then down back off halfback as well, so that way we can get the ball in the front half.

"And Ash Van Loon, just a little bit of defensive traits that she's got. She attacks the footy really hard but also attacks the contest, so that's something that we feel we can benefit from this week."

Forward Amelia Martin and defender Sarah Steele-Park have been omitted, joining Giselle Davies as emergencies.

Round 9

Henson Park, Sydney • NSW

Midfielder Sofia Hurley will miss the match through injury after re-aggravating a quad strain.

"Sof, unfortunately, just a slight re-aggravation of her quad but yeah, we're just not sure," Gowans said.

"It's going to be a week-to-week proposition just to see how it goes.

"She's such an important player for us, so we'll just monitor that week-to-week and see how she goes."

This Sunday at Henson Park marks our club’s third home AFLW Pride Game.

Swans Pride games are a celebration of diversity aimed at ensuring everyone feels welcome and included at the football. For the first time this year, our women’s team will run out through a rainbow banner bearing the message “Everyone is welcome.”

Australian Idol winner Royston Noell will perform live at Sunday’s match, while there will be face painting, food trucks, activities, and giveaways.
