The Sydney Swans have made one change to their side for their Round 11 match against the Eagles on Saturday afternoon at Henson Park with experienced forward Rebecca Privitelli recalled for the must win match.

Coach Scott Gowans has called on the experience of the 28-year old 62-gamer as the team look to make the most of their inside 50s against a hungry West Coast outfit also looking to cement a finals berth.

"Priv brings a bit of experience and we just felt the last few weeks we have struggled to score and we want to take advantage of our inside 50s and we thought experience would do that," Gowans said.

"She has also been training really well, played some scrimmage. There’s a number of factors but the main one is it’s a cut throat game and you want your experienced people playing."

Sydney Swans v West Coast Eagles

Round 11

Henson Park, Sydney • NSW

With only one win separating the 6th placed Eagles and 9th placed Swans and just two games remaining, everything is on the line this Saturday.

The Swans head to Henson on the back of a loss against Melbourne and Gowans said the message to his side is a "four quarter effort".

"It's something we have been building towards. We got two (quarters) last week and the week before three. We are trying to piece it all together to get the four quarters, that is what it will take."

"We couldn’t have have prepared any better, the girls are really looking forward to playing in front of a massive crowd."

The game also marks Laura Gardiner's 50th AFLW game.

The 22-year old joined Sydney from Geelong in 2023 and has not looked back. A Club Champion and All-Australian, the midfielder is now a key cog in the Sydney side and respected across the competition.

"Laura came as a forward and wanted to play midfield and credit to her to develop her engine and her game and she’s just a ball magnet," Gowans said.

"She's so consistent and rarely plays a bad game."

It is the last time Sydney Swans supporters will have the chance to see footy in Sydney for the year and the club are calling on all members and fans to get out in numbers one final time.

"Come down and enjoy the footy, it’s the last experience you will get for the year," Gowans said.

"23 degrees and perfect they tell me. It’s a great experience, come down, what better way to spend a weekend!"
