Sydney's three new recruits Charlie Curnow, Jai Serong and Malcolm Rosas will make their club debuts tomorrow night.
Senior coach Dean Cox confirmed the news in his press conference on Wednesday.
"This time last year there were injuries, I think it was over a dozen, probably a few selection headaches in terms of leaving guys out this time around," Cox said.
"I think that's what you want as a footy club, is you want to make sure that your players are available. We've got some kids that aren't available, but for the majority of our squad, they've done a lot of pre-season, which is the first thing that we want to try and tick off.
"Yeah, they will play (Charlie, Malcolm and Jai), the three players that we got to the football club through trade, they'll all make their club debuts tomorrow night."
In addition to the recruits pulling on the red and white guernsey for the first time, Cox is also joined by new additions in the coaching box.
He said he feels better prepared ahead of his second year at the helm.
"I think you feel better equipped because it's your second year coaching, you understand what the role entails but yeah I've been really pleased not only with the acquisitions we have on the field but also what we've had off it," Cox said.
"To be able to spend time in the off-season trying to hire staff and get the people that we want at the football club has been really good for our football team and football department.
"We've got experience in Simon but then also Jeremy Laidler, Nick Malceski has come from Gold Coast. Some really good football programmes that they've been a part of that can certainly add to ours."
The Swans are gearing up to open the 2026 AFL Season on Thursday night under the SCG lights.
Cox reiterated his support for Opening Round and it's importance in growing the game in the northern states.
"I know there's critics of Opening Round and playing where we do but when you talk about, I got here nine years ago and my kids have been at schools that you start to now see football goals up at every sporting ground," Cox said.
"I think the traction that the AFL has made in these northern markets is really important for the growth of the game.
"One thing I've always been is an advocate of trying to get as many young kids to play as possible and as you can see the schools come out, there's red and white everywhere and it's just a great thing for the footy. We will shorten our pre-season to get the chance to play it."
