The Sydney Swans have named an unchanged lineup to take on the Brisbane Lions at the SCG on Saturday night.

After a 63-point victory over Carlton in Opening Round last week, Sydney will be looking to continue its strong start to the season with a win over the reigning premiers.

Speaking to Sydney Swans Media, senior coach Dean Cox said Brisbane have been the benchmark team in the competition for many years, and the match would prove a tough test for his side.

"I think every team's chasing Brisbane, they've been a phenomenal football team for a long period of time," he said.

"Not only have they won the last two but obviously the grand final before that, so yeah they are the benchmark and the team you really want to test yourselves against so we're really excited about that opportunity."

Defender Matt Roberts will line up in his 50th AFL game, after an impressive performance last week where he kicked two important majors.

Roberts was among a host of Swans who put in strong performances last week. Justin McInerney has been named in the middle after an exceptional game, where he kicked two goals in the space of two minutes to haul the side back into the contest in the third quarter.

"Justin was really good, I think his ability around the ball and centre forward was really important for us and got us going with his energy certainly through that third quarter so he was great," Cox said.

"Obviously some role players, Matt Roberts was really good, the new young men that played in Jai and Malcolm and obviously Charlie really fitted in well, so yeah excited to see that happen again."

After more than 40,000 fans at the SCG turned out for Opening Round, Cox said he was looking forward to another big crowd on Saturday night.

"I think it was unbelievable, the support that they always give us here at the SCG and in Sydney in general has really been amazing and we expect that again Saturday night," Cox said.

"I can't wait for it and cheer, cheer as loud as you possibly can."
