The Sydney Swans VFL team face off against North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon at Arden Street.
Swans fans will need to have two devices on the go this Saturday with the VFL match commencing at 1.35pm on Saturday, shortly after the start of the AFL match between the two sides.
The team has four changes to the side that defeated Casey last weekend with an experienced duo called up to the AFL team.
Hayden McLean has been rewarded for his solid VFL form with promotion to the senior side for his first appearance of 2026 and 223-gamer Harry Cunningham has also been included in the AFL team.
The fourth placed Swans will be looking to make it five wins in a row for season 2026 after securing their fourth victory last Sunday, holding off a fast-finishing Casey Demons outfit in Sydney.
Other results this season have seen the side defeat Footscray by 59 points, the Giants by 22 points, Port Melbourne by 21 points, with their sole loss in the opening round against Box Hill.
Despite the run of wins, coach Nick Malceski said his side are still looking for that four quarter performance.
"We haven’t yet been able to put a full game together with the way we want to play," Malceski said.
"Our team changes each week with big numbers but we have been able to grind wins out. We have matured as group (since last year) and are finding ways to win which has been pleasing.
Malceski said his young side have also been focussing on connection.
"We are building belief that our good is good enough to challenge anyone if we execute roles and structure and play our way."
Swans listed players Peter Ladhams and Caiden Cleary have been the in-form players over the past fortnight with Ladhams notching a career best 40 disposals and a goal in Round 5 against Footscray and backing it up with another 31 disposals against the Demons.
Cleary has also been impressive, with a game-high 38 disposals against Casey and 37 disposals against Footscray. Jevan Phillipou has also been solid in the forward line.
Malceski said his VFL listed players Nic Shipley, Mitch Mellis and Luke Giacometi have impressed in the first part of the season.
"Nic has been super consistent and an inside bull for us this year, he's got his body right from last year and he's super reliable wherever we put him," Malceski said.
"Mitch we brought in this year and he has slotted in really well with our system. His work rate contest to contest and toughness is unreal.
"Luke, a former QBE Swans Academy player, came back to Sydney from the SANFL to join us this year after winning a flag with Sturt. Having his experience and a player like him who plays whatever role we give him without hesitation is a great addition and he continues to get better each week."
The VFL competition enters Round 7 with a really even competition, with only percentage separating the top six sides. The top six are all sitting on 16 points and the next six teams are just one win behind the leaders.
