Sydney Swans ruckman Brodie Grundy has won his first Goodes-O'Loughlin medal tonight, being named best on ground in the Swans Marn Grook clash with Collingwood.

In slippery SCG conditions, Grundy finished with 18 disposals, 32 hit-outs, and six clearances after an influential peformance.

Formally announced in 2016, the Goodes-O’Loughlin Medal is awarded to the player judged best afield in a tribute to two of the greatest Indigenous players to have graced the AFL arena.
