The Bob Skilton Medal is the most prestigious award a player can receive at the Sydney Swans, and the race for the coveted 'Best and Fairest' title is heating up as we near the halfway point of the 2026 AFL season.

There have been some standout performances to date, with the likes of Isaac Heeney, Nick Blakey and Brodie Grundy impressing week-to-week, while Justin McInerney, and Tom McCartin are also amongst some of the side's most consistent players.

Heeney, the reigning back-to-back Bob Skilton Medallist, is coming off one of his best performances of the 2026 campaign, recording 32 disposals and five goals in a best-on-ground display against Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

He sits alongside Steve Johnson as the only two players to record 30+ disposals and 5+ goals in multiple games since 2000.

Grundy, sitting alongside the best ruckman in the competition, is the reigning Adam Goodes Trophy winner (second place in Best and Fairest), and has continued a stellar run of form this year, while Justin McInerney has staked his claim as one of the competition's most improved in 2026.

McInerney enjoyed a stunning start to his year with 31 disposals and three goals in the club's emphatic Opening Round victory over Carlton, and leads the entire competition for score involvements (99).

There have been a host of players who have also enjoyed strong campaigns to date, including Jai Serong, James Jordon and captain Callum Mills, who don't always get the plaudits, but have produced consistent performances week in, week out.

The Swans will now set their sights on back-to-back victories when they host St Kilda at the SCG on Sunday afternoon.
