Sydney Swans Senior Coach Dean Cox has today confirmed that Taylor Adams will return to action this week.
He will play for the Swans VFL side who face Southport on the Gold Coast on Saturday morning.
“Taylor will play this weekend [for the VFL side], which is good. He's had a tough run with injuries, so he'll get his chance to go up and play Southport," Cox said at his weekly press conference.
Adams has had a run of injuries which has hampered his 2026 season to date.
The 31-year old suffered a partial tear of his achilles in the preseason in December 2025 before playing in the VFL Round 1 and was one of the Swans best with 27 disposals and a goal.
However a hamstring injury sustained in April has kept him sidelined the last few months.
The 229-gamer also had an injury ravaged 2025, only playing nine games (4 AFL and 5 VFL) due to recurring hamstring injuries.
Sydney's team to face Southport will be named on Friday at 12.20pm.
