Sydney Swans forward Jesse Dattoli has been named the Round 22 Telstra AFL Rising Star nominee, following the side’s 97-point win over Port Adelaide on Saturday.

In his first senior appearance for 2026, the 20-year-old collected 23 disposals and recorded seven marks, in addition to booting his first two AFL goals.

Dattoli arrived in the Harbour City after he was taken with Sydney's first pick and 22nd selection overall in the 2024 AFL Draft.

He made his AFL debut in Round 21 last season, going on to feature in three games in his debut year.

Sydney Swans Executive General Manager, AFL Football Leon Cameron said Dattoli’s nomination was well deserved.

“It’s great recognition for a talented and driven young player,” Cameron said.

“After an interrupted pre-season, Jesse has worked hard for his opportunity, and it was fantastic to see him take it in the way he did on Saturday.

“To come into the senior side and have an impact straight away is a credit to him and the work he’s put in.”
