Preliminary Final Open Training

Sydney Swans members and fans are encouraged to get along to the SCG on Thursday, 17th September for an open training ahead of the team's Friday night Preliminary Final against Fremantle.

Gates will open at 9:30am with training set to begin at 10:00am. 

There will be selfies, autographs, Sydney Swans badge lab, and Spin2Win.

Rampe named stand-in skipper

Sydney Swans defender Dane Rampe will lead the team for the remainder of the 2026 season, having been named as the stand-in captain for Callum Mills.

Rampe takes over as stand-in captain after it was confirmed that Mills had suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Rampe previously held the position of Sydney Swans co-captain from 2019-2023.

Molloy polls full votes from the coaches

Chloe Molloy was a stand out in the Sydney Derby victory. She finished with 16 disposals and 4 goals to earn 10 votes from the coaches.

Meanwhile, Sofia Hurley and Laura Gardiner polled six votes. Sofia continued her strong form in 2026 with 25 disposals, however was forced out of the match with an injury. While Laura Gardiner finished with 18 disposals, seven tackles, and three clearances.
