The Sydney Swans have secured the long-term signature of Ally Morphett.

One of the league’s best rucks, Morphett will remain in the red and white until at least the end of 2030.

The 22-year-old has had a scintillating start to the year, averaging 14 disposals and 20 hit-outs in the first half of the season.

Morphett landed at the Swans via a trade with the Giants ahead of the team’s inaugural season in 2022 and has gone on to play 42 games for the Swans.

Executive General Manager – AFLW Football Kate Mahony said the club was thrilled to secure Morphett’s signature.

“Ally’s form so far this season has been outstanding and reflects the work she has put in to continue developing her game,” Mahony said.

“Ally is one of the premier rucks in the competition and, at just 22 years of age, we believe her best football is still ahead of her.

“Her competitiveness, team-first attitude and drive to keep improving are exactly what we want to build around, so it’s fantastic she has re-committed to the club.”
