Some of the Sydney Swans’ brightest young stars will take centre stage as the NEAFL side meets Sydney University at Marrickville’s Henson Park on Saturday.

A host of Swans have in recent years announced themselves to the AFL world after tackling apprenticeships in the NEAFL, including Jake Lloyd, Will Hayward, Oliver Florent and Ben Ronke – and a new wave of young guns is now ready to emerge.

Fans will have an opportunity to redeem their membership gifts or jump on board the red and white for the season ahead as the Swans take on the Students in their first of three NEAFL practice games.

Members and supporters will also be treated to a couple of fan-favourite activities, with the Sydney Swans Fan Zone, presented by McCafe, set to deliver prizes and giveaways, and the Citi Spin to Win wheel ready to roll once again.

The Swans’ clash with Sydney University will get underway at 11am, and Sydney will then face the Canberra Demons on March 23 and GWS on March 30 before the season proper begins on April 6.

Please note that due to inclement weather there is a chance the Swans' membership and community-engagement tent may not be set up.
