Sydney Swans players have begun their end of season break after undergoing a number of review meetings following the completion of the home and away season.

The senior playing list has already started their break with the remaining players to head on their break from Wednesday after the NEAFL side lost a preliminary final to Brisbane.

Senior players last week attended a number of meetings with coaches, doctors and high-performance staff with the NEAFL players to have their reviews on Tuesday.

The first to fourth-year players will return for preseason training on November 4 with the remainder of the playing list to returning on November 18.

Among those who will be the first to return will be young guns Oliver Florent, Will Hayward, Jordan Dawson and Nick Blakey.

It will be a young Sydney Swans squad that returns to pre-season training for 2020 with the retirements of Jarrad McVeigh, Kieren Jack, Heath Grundy and Nick Smith during the season.

Following the completion of the current finals series the club will embark on the Free Agency period which commences on Friday October 4.
