The Sydney Swans have been defeated by the GWS Giants by 22 points in their first JLT Series match tonight at Blacktown.

It was a slow start to the game for the Swans with the Giants applying the pressure early, kicking five unanswered goals to hold the Swans goalless in the opening term.

Sydney clawed their way back in the second quarter and were sparked into gear in the third term and the Giants lead was trimmed back to just 3-points. However the Giants put their foot down once again with three goals in a row of their own to take back ascendency into the final term.

Isaac Heeney was the best for the Swans with 24 disposals and 2 goals while 2018 Best and Fairest Jake Lloyd also found plenty of the footy with 24 disposals.
