Young Sydney Swans forward Tom McCartin has been nominated for the Round 20 AFL Goal of the Year for his match winner against Collingwood on Saturday night.

McCartin was quick thinking under pressure as the young Swan managed to get his boot to ball from 20 metres out from goal as it trickled through for a goal.

The ability to get the ball to his boot and get it out of the pack was a remarkable feat from McCartin.

Essendon defender Cale Hooker and Brisbane Lions youngster Hugh McCluggage will both be vying for the Round 20 award.
