The 21-year-old became one of the most consistent performers in just his fourth year of football during the 2017 season.

Hewett played 24 games this season as he moved up the field to play more time in the midfield in particular tagging some of the best players in the game.

Finished the season with 116 tackles, behind only Luke Parker and Dan Hannebery at the club.

He averaged 19 disposals a game this season and was once again one of the most accurate set shots in front of goal with nine goals from 15 shots for the season.

Becoming renowned for his consistency and hard at it approach the development curve for the midfielder from South Australia continues to head in the right direction.

Was awarded the Most Improved player award at the Club Champion Dinner for his contribution during the season.

Hewett finished the match with 29 disposals and ten marks against then Demons with his full array of skills on display. It was one of the side’s best wins of the season and Hewett’s role played an important hand in getting his side over the line.
