In summation...

An injury interrupted season hampered the Swans big man in his fifth season at the Club.

Tippett managed just nine matches at AFL level this season after suffering issues with his ankle injury earlier in the season.

Standing 202cm tall, Tippett remains one of the competition's most versatile big men with an ability to move freely between the ruck position and up forward.

Tippett managed to find some form late in the season, with his best match coming against Fremantle in Round 21 when he booted two goals, laid eight tackles and had 13 disposals.

He couldn't force his way back into the senior side for the finals series and featured in the Club's NEAFL Grand Final loss to Brisbane.

Round 21 v Fremantle at SCG
In his second game back from injury, Tippett played the majority of the contest as a forward alongside Lance Franklin and Sam Reid. He finished with 13 disposals, seven marks and two goals but it was his forward pressure that was a highlight with eight tackles.

What they said...

"We thought Kurt contributed pretty strongly last week and was good again today. Both in the ruck, his follow up around the ground was good, and in the front half he was a good target for us taking some strong marks. It is a good sign for us and that allows us to decide what we do with our rucks."
- Senior coach John Longmire after Round 21 v Fremantle
