The ability to take on a leadership role, play further up the field and still have a significant impact on the scoreboard led to Lance Franklin’s most impressive season in the red and white.

It was just the third time he has kicked more than 80 in a season throughout his career and his best return since 2011.

Franklin has his best pre-season since joining the club, not missing a session which assisted him in being prepared for his 12th season.

A long-range goal from beyond the 50-metre arch became a common occurrence for the superstar forward throughout the season.

His athleticism was on full display as he showcased to the competition why he is one of the most dominant players in the game.

Franklin was awarded the Paul Kelly Players' Player award at the Club Champion and finished in sixth position in the Club Champion.

In his own words
“I think my season was pretty consistent and probably one of the most consistent seasons I have had in a while. I am reasonably happy with the way I went about my football this year and really can’t wait to get back to pre-season and hit the ground running.” Lance Franklin on SwansTV
