Moore suffered the injury in a collision during the second quarter and received treatment after the game.
However, the hard-nosed forward was released from hospital last night and will spend the early part of the week recuperating with his family in Melbourne.
Moore is the second Swans player to suffer a punctured lung this season after Ted Richards’ serious injury against Carlton.
A Swans spokesperson said Moore would travel by car to Sydney later in the week with his parents in order to be present for the club’s last game of the season.
The Swans will farewell 2005 premiership heroes Michael O’Loughlin, Leo Barry and Jared Crouch against the Brisbane Lions at the SCG on Saturday night.
Midfielder Ryan O’Keefe said Moore would be disappointed to miss playing in the trio’s final match.
“It’s just an unfortunate accident. When you play a contact game, you’re going to have these collision injuries and it’s just one of those things – we’ve had a few rib injuries,” he said.
“It’s a bit unlucky for Jarred. He would have loved to play in the game on Saturday night."
