Sydney Swans forward Kurt Tippett's outstanding snap in the rain in the second quarter of Friday night's win over Carlton is one of the round 14 nominations for the 2013 Goal of the Year.

In appalling conditions for tall forwards, the 202cm Tippett gathered a Ben McGlynn toe-poke forward off his shoelaces, turned on an arc and under pressure from his direct opponent Michael Jamison, snapped through his second goal of the night from 45 meters out.

Tippett's up against perennial Goal of the Year candidate, Gold Coast's Gary Ablett, and Melbourne's David Rodan.
