Sydney Swans ruckman Callum Sinclair polled a perfect 10 votes in the AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year award after starring in the 30-point win over Carlton.

The former West Coast Eagles big man collected 22 possessions, 26 hit-outs and two goals at the SCG last Friday as he continued to excel as Sydney’s new go-to ruckman.

Goodes-O’Loughlin Medallist Isaac Heeney recorded 22 touches and two goals of his own to earn eight votes, while midfielder George Hewett tallied 21 disposals and played an outstanding tagging role on Carlton gun Patrick Cripps to collect four votes.

Vice-captain Luke Parker received three votes for a stand-out display marked with 21 possessions, six tackles and two goals, while Jake Lloyd gathered 24 touches in a rock-solid display in defence to receive two votes.

Carlton defenders Kade Simpson (two votes) and Liam Jones (one) also impressed the coaches.
