The Sydney Swans’ new draftees arrived at the club for their first day in red and white on Monday.
The Swans secured Dylan Stephens (pick five), Will Gould (26), Elijah Taylor (36) and Chad Warner (39) at last week’s AFL Draft, before selecting Brady Rowles as a rookie and re-listing Jack Maibaum.
While Maibaum continued to work hard on his comeback from an ACL rupture, the new Swans took part in a series of skill drills, enjoyed their first lunch with their new teammates and were taken on a tour of the club.
Gould, recruited from South Australian club Glenelg, was ecstatic to begin life as a Swan.
“It still hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’m out here training with everyone and feeling like a little kid. I’m absolutely stoked,” Gould told SwansTV.
“Since my name was called out I’ve been itching to get up here and meet everyone and get stuck in to it. I’m just over the moon.”
