Ben McGlynn has registered the club’s first vote in the 2014 AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award following the round two loss to Collingwood on Saturday night.

With the team failing to register a vote in round one, McGlynn was the only Swans player to standout in the 20-point loss to the Magpies at ANZ Stadium.

The midfielder’s solitary vote came after a 20-possession, one-goal performance against Collingwood which also included eight inside 50s and two goal assists.

Magpie midfielder Scott Pendlebury was the best player on the ground for his game-changing 33 disposals, 11 inside 50s, 10 tackles and nine clearances and received a perfect 10 votes from John Longmire and Nathan Buckley.

St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt currently leads the Award’s voting after gathering 19 of a possible 20 votes in the first two rounds.
