Last time they met:
Coming off the back of a two-game losing streak to Collingwood and Hawthorn, the Swans were keen to return to the winner’s list against Carlton. But the game didn’t start according to plan for the red and white as they trailed by 22 points at quarter time and 16 points at the main break. The Swans had the chance to take the lead in the third quarter but some inaccuracy, kicking six goals and five behinds to Carlton’s five straight goals, saw them trailing at each break. The Swans hit the lead in the fourth quarter and were able to hold on for a thrilling two point victory.

Jarrad McVeigh topped the goal scorers for the Swans booting four goals, while at the other end Brendan Fevola kicked six majors.
