Roberts-Thomson re-injured his hamstring at training and is unlikely to play for the remainder of the season.
Sydney Swans Senior Coach Paul Roos said the setback was disappointing for Roberts-Thomson who had worked hard on his rehabilitation since first sustaining the injury in the lead up to Round 16.
“Lewis has had a fantastic season and was probably in career best form when he got injured, so it is unfortunate for both him and the Club that he will miss at least the next few weeks of football,” Roos said.
In more promising news for the Swans, it is hoped spearhead Daniel Bradshaw will make his comeback from injury this week.
Should Bradshaw get through tomorrow’s final training session at the SCG unscathed, it is likely he will return through the Swans Reserves on Saturday in Canberra. The reserves play Belconnen at Manuka Oval at 2pm.
