The Sydney Swans latest crop of young Bloods were welcomed to the club this week and we can now reveal the numbers they will be wearing in season 2021.

Logan McDonald, pick four in the AFL Draft, will wear number 6. It's the number of 2005 Premiership player and former captain Craig Bolton (170 games) as well as a 217-gamer Andrew Dunkley.

QBE Sydney Swans Academy product and pick five, Braeden Campbell, will wear number 16, which is the number of former captain and coach Rick Quade and in more recent times, Gary Rohan (170 games).

Fellow QBE Sydney Swans Academy draftee Errol Gulden will wear the number 21, which has some big Sydney Swans names attached to it. South Melbourne / Sydney Swans Team of the Century member Tony Morwood (229 games), 2005 Premiership hero Leo Barry (237 games) and in more recent years Ben McGlynn (127 games) all ran out with the number 21.

Rookie Malachy Carruthers will wear the number 40, which was most recently worn by 2012 Premiership player Nick Smith, who retired in 2019.

Central Coast product and Category B Rookie Marc Sheather will wear number 33, new recruit Tom Hickey will wear number 31, the number famously worn by former Captain and Premiership player Brett Kirk, and Joel Amartey has taken number 36, the number which Aliir Aliir wore for his 64 games at the Sydney Swans.
