The Sydney Swans have come through their recent pre-season fixture against GWS with no major injuries and will now be counting down the days until their season opener against the Brisbane Lions next week.

With the final hit-out of the pre-season now completed, Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper has provided an injury update on the squad following Sunday's clash.

The key take outs:

Overall update

We managed to come through the game relatively unscathed on the weekend which is really good to see. We had the typical injuries that you get out of a game; a couple of corks, cramps and a few minor upper limp joint sprains to players, but nothing that we expecting anyone to miss round one with at this point.

Callum Mills

Callum Mills sustained a knock in the second quarter and unfortunately he showed delayed symptoms of concussion after the game so he is going to follow our concussion protocol early this week. He will have a quiet start before building back into training later in the week.

Lance Franklin

As John Longmire mentioned in his press conference, Lance won’t play round one. At the moment he is currently full training, he is with the group, participating in match play and drills so he remains on course for a return early in the season.

Jake Lloyd

Jake Lloyd has recovered well from his knee sprain, he is back in full training this week so we are expecting him to be available for round one.
