The Sydney Swans have been on Redkite’s team for 21 years, supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer through our annual Red Day.

Red Day is a celebration of the Sydney Swans long-standing charity partnership with Redkite and will be a great day in support of an amazing Australian charity.

This Red Day, the Sydney Swans are showing children with cancer we're on their team and we are asking our footy family to stand with us and show their support by donating online today.

Ahead of our Round 19 clash, our friends at RedKite and their families have shown their support for Red Day by contributing some pictures of their favourite Swans players!

Lexie's sister, Ellie has leukaemia. This is Lexie’s drawing of Redkite ambassador, Harry Cunningham who is behind Swans Red Day.

When Bay’s little sister was 3, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and Redkite was there to support his family. This week, Bay is supporting Red Day by contributing this picture of Swans player Tom Papley!

Huon was a few months old when he was diagnosed with cancer. Huon is now 4 and is supporting Red Day by drawing this picture of Swans player Jake Lloyd!

Check out all the drawings from our friends at RedKite and their families in the video below.

WHO IS REDKITE:
Every day in Australia, three families will hear the words: 'your child has cancer' and in that moment, their lives are changed forever.

5,000 Australians will be impacted by childhood cancer this year. Our charity partner Redkite provides practical, emotional and financial support for families facing childhood cancer, so they don’t have to face it alone.

Since 2001, Swans players including the likes of Brett Kirk, Rhyce Shaw and Harry Cunningham have supported families dealing with childhood cancer by participating in family days, visits to oncology wards and other Redkite events.

Redkite is Australia’s leading national children's cancer charity providing practical, financial and mental health support to families who have a child with cancer.

Whatever challenges cancer puts in a family’s way, Redkite is there to help. Thank you for ensuring families don't have to face their child's cancer alone.
